Welcome to Carm’s Handcrafted. These Terms of Service govern your use of www.carmshandcrafted.com and any purchases made through our website.

Throughout these Terms, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Carm’s Handcrafted. By visiting our website, placing an order, or using any part of our services, you agree to these Terms of Service.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our website or purchase our products.

1. Online Store Terms

By using this website, you confirm that you are at least the age of majority in your state or place of residence or that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

You may not use our products, website, or services for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose. You may not transmit viruses, malicious code, or any other material that could harm the website or interfere with its operation.

2. Products and Services

Carm’s Handcrafted offers handmade products, including candles, room perfumes, wax melts, carpet seasonings, and other home-fragrance products.

Because our products are handcrafted, slight variations in color, appearance, texture, fill level, packaging, or label placement may occur. These variations do not affect the intended performance of the product and are not considered defects.

We make every reasonable effort to display product colors and images accurately. However, colors and product appearance may vary depending on your screen, device, lighting, or production batch.

Certain products may be available exclusively online, offered in limited quantities, or discontinued without notice.

3. Fragrance Disclaimer

Fragrance experiences are subjective. Scent strength and fragrance perception may vary based on personal preference, room size, ventilation, temperature, and product use.

Product descriptions and fragrance notes are provided to help customers understand the intended scent profile. We do not guarantee that every customer will experience a fragrance in the same way.

A dislike of a fragrance or a difference in personal scent perception is not considered a product defect.

4. Product Use and Safety

Customers are responsible for reading and following all warning labels, care instructions, and directions included with our products.

Candles must never be left burning unattended and should be kept away from children, pets, drafts, and flammable materials. Room perfumes, carpet seasonings, wax melts, and other scented products must be used only as directed.

Our products are not intended for consumption. Unless a product is specifically labeled for skin or body use, it should not be applied to the skin, body, fabrics, pets, food, or other unintended surfaces.

Discontinue use immediately if irritation, sensitivity, or an adverse reaction occurs. Carm’s Handcrafted is not responsible for damage, injury, or loss resulting from misuse, failure to follow instructions, or use of a product for an unintended purpose.

5. Allergies and Sensitivities

Our products may contain fragrance oils, essential oils, waxes, dyes, or other ingredients that may cause sensitivity in some individuals.

Customers are responsible for reviewing available product information and determining whether a product is appropriate for their household. If you have allergies, asthma, fragrance sensitivities, pets, or other health concerns, consult an appropriate professional before using scented products.

6. Pricing and Product Information

All prices are listed in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated.

We reserve the right to:

Change prices at any time
Correct typographical errors or inaccurate product information
Modify or discontinue products without notice
Limit product quantities
Cancel orders affected by pricing or inventory errors

If an order is canceled after payment has been processed, the appropriate amount will be refunded to the original payment method.

7. Orders

We reserve the right to accept, refuse, limit, or cancel any order at our discretion. This may include orders that appear fraudulent, contain inaccurate information, involve suspected resale activity, misuse promotional offers, or exceed available inventory.

Submitting an order does not guarantee acceptance. An order is considered accepted once it has been processed for fulfillment.

Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate billing, shipping, contact, and payment information.

8. Payments

Payment is due at the time an order is placed. Available payment methods will be displayed during checkout.

By submitting payment information, you confirm that you are authorized to use the selected payment method and authorize us and our payment providers to process the total amount of your purchase, including applicable taxes and shipping charges.

Carm’s Handcrafted does not directly store complete payment-card information. Payments are processed through third-party payment providers.

9. Discounts and Promotions

Discount codes and promotional offers:

Must be used before the stated expiration date
Cannot be applied to previous purchases
Cannot be exchanged for cash
May be limited to qualifying products or order amounts
May not be combined unless otherwise stated

Only one discount code may be used per order unless the promotion specifically allows multiple offers.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or cancel a promotion if it is affected by an error, misuse, fraud, or circumstances beyond our control.

10. Shipping and Delivery

Shipping and delivery estimates are provided as estimates only and are not guaranteed. Processing time is separate from carrier transit time.

Carm’s Handcrafted is not responsible for carrier delays, weather disruptions, holiday delays, incorrect addresses, customs delays, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Customers are responsible for providing a correct and complete shipping address. Additional shipping charges may apply if a package must be resent because of an incorrect or incomplete address.

Once tracking shows that an order was delivered, Carm’s Handcrafted is not responsible for theft, loss, or misplacement occurring after delivery.

11. Returns, Refunds, and Cancellations

All returns, refunds, exchanges, order cancellations, damaged-product claims, and shipping issues are governed by our Return and Refund Policy.

By placing an order, you acknowledge that you have reviewed and accepted that policy.

12. Reviews, Comments, and Other Submissions

If you submit a review, photograph, comment, testimonial, suggestion, or other content to Carm’s Handcrafted, you confirm that the content is accurate, lawful, and does not violate another person’s rights.

You may not submit content that is abusive, threatening, defamatory, discriminatory, obscene, fraudulent, misleading, or otherwise unlawful.

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms. We may use reviews and testimonials for business and promotional purposes, subject to applicable law.

All content available through Carm’s Handcrafted—including our business name, logos, product names, collection names, graphics, labels, photographs, written descriptions, website content, and original designs—is owned by or licensed to Carm’s Handcrafted and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, sell, publish, or commercially use our content without prior written permission.

Purchasing a product does not transfer ownership of any associated trademarks, designs, photographs, or other intellectual property.

14. Prohibited Uses

You may not use this website or its content:

By using our website, you acknowledge that information may be processed by Shopify and other service providers necessary to operate our store, process payments, fulfill orders, and provide customer support.

We do not guarantee that the website will always be available, secure, uninterrupted, or error-free. We also do not guarantee that every product will meet each customer’s personal fragrance preference.

Nothing in these Terms excludes any rights or warranties that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

18. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Carm’s Handcrafted will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use our website, services, or products.

Our total liability for a claim relating to a purchase will not exceed the amount paid for the product involved in that claim, except where a different limitation is required by law.

These limitations do not apply where liability cannot legally be limited or excluded.
